We know that 100% of 642 is, well, just 642.**Step 2:**If 100% of 642 is 642, then we can get 1% of 642 by dividing it by 100. Let's do 642 / 100. This is equal to 6.42. Now we know that 1% is 6.42.**Step 3:**Now that we know what 1% of 642 is, we just need to multiply it by 1 to get our solution! 6.42 times 1 = 6.42. That's all there is to it!
